Interrail: reservations. necessary ?

sindrimin @ 20-07-2008 21:53

hello ppl,
i would like to know wether making a reservation on a train in necessary.
some people say it is while others say that you can always find a seat without reservation. what's the true story here? 😐

how risky would it be to travel without reservations if i want to make it on time?

thanks in advance 🤣

hej ...

when avoiding the peak times:
Monday to Friday from 0700 to 0900 and 1600 to 1900
Sunday 1400 to 2100
you can save the money for a reservation. okay, sometimes you have to change the seat but normally not.

that's my personal experience of more than 10 years train travelling. 🙂
Peter 🙂

hello,

those times, are peak times or off-peak times?

thank you

They are peak times (when people are on their way to and from work, and home from weekend trips, I assume).
