I travelled by night train from Hendaye-Irun to Lisbon both ways in October 2016. It was a Cama Turista (4 beds) with Trenhotel. Unfortunately I had a very bad experience because the train was full of bed bugs on both journeys. Does anyone have actual information on this issue? Are the same coaches still on this line? Was anything done to get rid of this problem? Many thanks for your reactions!

I\'m sorry to hear you had a bad experience. I would recommend the following:
1. Launch a complaint with ASAE, Portugal\'s public health authority (http://www.asae.gov.pt/). Use google translate to fill out this form: http://www.asae.gov.pt/queixas-e-denuncias.aspx
2. Launch a complaint with CP, the operator of the train. It\'s probably best to send them a letter in English, with a google translation into Portuguese, to the following address:

You\'d be doing us other travelers a big favour - I don\'t want bed bugs on my night trains either.

I\'m sorry to hear about your experience.
Yes, the same trains are still used on this service (Lisbon to Madrid and Hendaye).
I travelled four times with this train (in 2008, 2010, 2012 and 2016) and never had problems. Also, I didnt read any reports regarding bed bugs on these services recently so i think/hope that this only was a temporary issue.
