SPAIN (Algercias) - MOROCCO (Tanger, Marrakech, Casablanca)

Morocco doesn't belong any more to the InterRail countries (since 2007). :(
Use the ferry Algeciras to Tanger: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-ferry/spain/es

As you won't get an InterRail discount any more, the ferry is a bit expensive. Don't know if they have student fares?!
But train travel in Morocco is cheap and of good quality!

the cheapest way is by plane.
i.e. gerona - nador in june costs ~10euro 2 ways!

ferries from algerciras/tarifa etc to tanger/ceuta are quite expesive: >30euro 1 way!

I was last week in morocco by plane BCN-Casa and Fez-Gerona. and I payed for all tickets no more than 120e 1 week before trip!

Moreover Marrakech is boring. there is all most nothing intresting. better go to Rabat or, if you like, in montains from Marrakech. This city looks all most like some spanish town.

Tanger is nice to relax. not as small as I expected before trip. is quite new.

Casablanca is big and... wild. You should go there!!

Trains in Morocco are quite good. cheaper than in western european countries and no so comfortable. they have air condition but it works...better is just open the window.
Buses are cheaper than trains, quiet new but...go there and check!! ;)
