I know that I can not book the ticket online, but is there a place I can see the fare amounts for the different classes of services and types of seats? Thanks for any information.

Hello and welcome.
Yes, you are right... the direct night train Budapest to Split is open to book since two weeks. You can book it here online: [ux]https://rail.shop/mav[/ux]
To see the differences of the categories, have a look here https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/budapest-split-g1204/132 and scroll down. It should give you a first impression. These reservations are additional to an Interrail pass. If you travel by point to point ticket, you pay the base fare for the ticket and on top the category of seat/couchette/bed.

Thank you for the information, I see the base fares listed on the site. Is there a place I can see the category fees for seat/couchette/bed? I plan to purchase the ticket at the station in Budapest, and will not have an Internal pass so will be paying full price. Hope to see the full price I would pay.

Best,
Nathan

Hi!

Did you check prices at [ux]https://rail.shop/mav[/ux]? Prices listed there are ticket+reservation, for instance one way ticket Budapest - Split in a 6bed couchette is 79€, which consists of 69,60€ for the ticket (including a 30% one way discount) plus 9,40€ for the reservation.

The reservation fares listed on [ux]rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/budapest-split-g1204/132[/ux] do also apply for travel with regular tickets.

Last year, there have also been advance fare "SparNight" tickets at fixed "Global" prices; I think a one way trip in a couchette was available from 39€. Havent found these prices for this year yet.
I just checked again and it seems that this year, SparNight tickets are only available for travel in 2nd class seats; they cost 29€. For traveling in couchette/sleeper accomodation, a regular ticket is needed. It costs 69,90€ one way (as mentioned above) plus reservation; a return ticket is 79,50€ (since there is a 60% return discount) plus reservation.
