Regionale Veloce trains operated by Trenitalia are semi-fast trains running in all parts of Italy. They usually operate on main lines and only stop in larger towns and villages.
A variety of train types is in use for Regionale Veloce trains however the majority of services is operated by conventional open-plan coaches. Most trains convey both 2nd and 1st class seats. Most services are air-conditioned and many trains have low-floor entry and facilites for the disabled. Bicycles can be conveyed on most services. Bikes in bags and folding bikes are carried free of charge. For other bikes a day ticket is 3,50€, alternatively you can also buy a 2nd class ticket for the distance travelled.

Buy the reservation at a railway station. Reservations are usually available at stations in all countries where a particular train runs through. In many countries, especially in central and eastern Europe you can also buy reservations for trains in other countries.
