Polskie Koleje Państwowe Intercity (PKP IC)
Eurail and InterCity (IC). How to buy a reservation or can I travel for free. Train information, photos and videos.
Buy the reservation at a railway station. Reservations are usually available at stations in all countries where a particular train runs through. In many countries, especially in central and eastern Europe you can also buy reservations for trains in other countries. In some countries (for instance in the Netherlands or Spain) you have to pay a service fee at the ticket counter.
InterCity (IC) are high-quality express trains running on many routes in Poland, including cross-country services to running via the capital Warsaw. Quality and services are similar to the more expensive EIP and EIC trains, however the fares are the same as on the cheaper TLK services.
IC consist of modern EMU or refurbished coaches. All trains have 1st and 2nd class seats, most of them in open-plan arrangement: four seats per row (2+2) in 2nd class, three seats per row (2+1) in 1st class. On some trains there are also compartments with six seats.
All trains have air-condition and power sockets. Most services convey a restaurant car, and those wo don't have a minibar service. All trains have facilities for the disabled and most of them convey bicycles.
