Eurail and Express InterCity (EIC). How to buy a reservation or can I travel for free. Train information, photos and videos.

PL

Buy the reservation at a railway station. Reservations are usually available at stations in all countries where a particular train runs through. In many countries, especially in central and eastern Europe you can also buy reservations for trains in other countries. In some countries (for instance in the Netherlands or Spain) you have to pay a service fee at the ticket counter.

Express InterCity (EIC) are high-quality express trains on the main routes in Poland. They consist of modern and comfortable coaches running up to 160 km/h. EIC and EIP trains provide fast and comfortable connections on the Polish rail network. EIC trains also operate on international routes, running from Warsaw to Berlin, Prague, Budapest and Vienna as well as from Gdansk to Berlin and Vienna.

EIC trains all consist of 1st and 2nd class coaches. You will find both compartment coaches (six seats per compartment) or carriages with open-plan arrangement: four seats per row (2+2) in 2nd class, three seats per row (2+1) in 1st class. On some trains there are also 1st class business compartments with just four seats.

All carriages have air-condition and power sockets. On some services WiFi is available as well. Most services convey a restaurant car, and those wo don't have a minibar service. A free drink is included for all passengers, in 1st class you will also get a small snack. All trains have facilities for the disabled and can convey bicycles.
