The Tourist Information Office is located downtown at the Marienplatz.
Totally crowded. With a long queue to wait.
But you can throw maps for some coins (I think it was 30 cents).

Mon to Fri: 10-19 h
Sat: 10-17 h
Sun: 10-14 h
Public holidays: closed

Tip: you get good (better?) information at the information of the public transportation company. On the mezzanine level of the subway station, there are five leaflets with good tips.
