I'm planning to rail with my friends in the summer. Now we are discussing how much can we travel in one day. How much did you travel in one day when you were railing ?

Some statistics:

Utrecht (NL) - Nice (FR) = 1200 KM
Interlaken (CH) - Vienna (AU) = 850 KM
Vienna (AU) - Berlin (DE) = 1200 KM
Copenhagen (DK) - Utrecht (NL) = 900 KM

Total length of my journey:
The distance between Utrecht and Central Africa (i think it was about 7500 KM).

With TGV / ICE / Talys you'll go with 200 KM/h..

Thank you so much! I think my trip is going to last a month, so it's going to be a lot of travelling. Germany, France, The Netherlands and Italy are the main countries I want to see, but it's a long trip when starting from Finland :D

It's a really long trip i think! Germany is a great country! Italy also.. but i've been there only one time (no interrailing). 8)

Holland is.. hmm... I've seen it too much i think ;)

Travelling through and through Italy is the most desirable thing you can do :) I've been ten times there...ยจ And Germany? Take into account Germans are largely off-hand, stiff and somewhat cold (there are exceptions!).
But taste of it is a subjective matter ;)
