Is there a high speed train we can take into Austria and then another train to get us to Zagreb?
What options do we have for trains?
We will have a eurail pass.

There are no high speed lines on that route.
The best connection would be:
Zürich HB 08:40 - 14:46 Schwarzach St. Veit
Schwarzach St. Veit 15:11 - 20:51 Zagreb Glavni kol
No reservation required but it makes sense to get a reservation locally at a station to have your (1st class) seat.
The train from Zürich to Schwarzach conveys an observation car for which you can request a seat reservation at no extra costs (car 312).
Both trains convey a dining car (train from Schwarzach to Zagreb conveys dining car only until Villach, arrival there at 16:43).
