I want to book seats on the intercity bus from London run by DB as I believe that it is covered by the interrail pass, but I can\'t see how to do it on their website. Anyone know how to? or any other advice on getting out of London cheaper than paying the supplement for the eurostar?

Hi and welcome to rail.cc,

unfortunately you cant book seat reservations online at the website of DB [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux] (you can select "seat only" on the bottom of the page but can\'t buy a reservation then - this only works for domestic connections in Germany and I think some seleceted connections abroad).

You should phone up German Railways UK at 0044 (0) 8718 80 80 66 (Mo - Fr 9-20, Sa - Su 9-13); and/or try at one of the DB agencies in the UK: [ux]https://www.bahn.com/en/view/mdb/bahnintern/international/partnerbilder/pdf_2017/mdb_244730_170220_internationale_db-agenturen.pdf[/ux]

Interrail is valid on the IC Bus, a regular seat reservation is required (4,50€). This definitely is the cheapest option if you have an Interrail pass.
If you dont want to use an Interrail travel day you could look at a regular coach service, for instance by Flixbus: [ux]https://rail.shop/flixbus[/ux]

Another alternative is the Dutchflyer ferry: [ux]https://rail.cc/blog/rail-sail-london-amsterdam-train-ferry/[/ux]

You can support our work by using our affiliate/partner links, thank you. For instance, buy your official Interrail pass at [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] - thank you! :)
