Køb din togreservation på en togstation. De fås normalt på stationer i alle de lande, hvor et bestemt tog kører igennem. I mange lande, især i Central- og Østeuropa, kan du også købe reservationer til tog i andre lande. I nogle lande (f.eks. i Nederlandene eller Spanien) skal du betale et servicegebyr ved billetskranken.

Eurocity are classic international express trains, operating on many routes from Austria to neighbouring countries. Depending on the destination the trains can consist of coaches from different national railway companies, all with differences in interior design and comfort. Usually you will find both open-plan and compartment carriages.

- 2nd and 1st class seats
- air-condition
- power sockets
- restaurant or bistro car
- bicycle storage on many, but not all trains
- many trains are equipped for passengers with reduced mobility

For international journeys to/from Poland, a reservation is required. For journeys to all other countries and within Austria you do not require a reservation. Only on peak travel days it is recommended to get a seat reservation.
