I've only got 10 days to go away in May and I want to go to a part of Europe I've never been to. I'm from Guernsey and I'm going to get the boat to France and either:

Go to Denmark and get a ferry to Sweden/Finland or...
Go around Poland, Cheque Republic and Austria.

I haven't got loads of money and I'm gusessing the central Europe option is cheaper?

Has anyone got any experience / advice me? I want to do it all !!!

Cheers
Nick

Well, I know what you mean and have the same difficulty for this summer.

I've been to Sweden two years ago and last year I've been to Copenhagen and I liked Scandinavia veeeery much. On the other side, I've been to Czech Republic and Austria and that was very nice too. I heard other Eastern European countries like Slovakia, Hungary and Slovenia are also very nice. It certainly is almost half as expensive as Scandinavia, especially when you won't go only to very touristic places like Prague... Have a lot fun deciding where to go, this is how i see it...

my opinion:
- Scandinavia is nice but expensive
- Eastern Europe is cheaper and also nice ...
so it depends on your money ... :o

i recommend scandinavia... best time of my life and it doesn't have to be expensive if you sleep in night trains.

eastern europe is nice but it's harder to get in touch with people.
