I'm planning to get into Germany and Austria next August (2007).
It will be my first InterRail and i'm planning on taking a tent.

SO, my doubt is:
Can i mount it anywhere in the field? Let's say i'm in the country and i have no hostel to stay and so...
Will i have problems with the police in Germany?

Basicly i've been reading Tourism website and i read about Füssen area... Lakes, mountains, special palaces and castles and so...
But i also know that's a touristic zone...
Would i have problems on camping outside a camping park as it would be bad for local tourism...

What's your thoughts about it?

hi there.

you won´t get problems with the police...

the only thing that can happen is, that someone calls them (havn´t experienced that ;) and you might be send off the place.. but not arrested, charged or something like that.

greatz

like Walker say: in Germany you will be send away. nothing more.
in Scandinavia you can camp wherever you want (except: private ground, nature reservation) and in southern Europe on beaches you can get problems (not only with the police, also with robbery) :)
