Hi I looked up and the currency in Bosnia seems to be Mark.
Does anyone know if they accept euro there? I've tried about 5 travel agencies and also my bank but none are able to provide me with their local currency...
What have others done? Take money out from the ATM there? I'm thinking maybe I can do that but seeing that I arrive in Bosnia late night.. i was hoping to have some local currency in cash with me.
So Do they accept euro?

I got money out at an ATM, of which there are lots in Sarajevo. You will probably be OK with some Euros in Hostels etc. Make sure you spend all your Marks though, I have 50 left which I couldnt change anywhere (tried in Montenegro, Macedonia and Serbia...)

The currency is the Konvertible Mark. Seems to be fixed in value against the Euro at €1=2KM. I was in Mostar last week and most places would quote you the price in both Euro and KM. Some places even gave you change in Euros when you paid in Marks.

Didn't notice this as much in Sarajevo though so not sure if it's widespread in Bosnia

Hi, my name is Mirna, and I live in BiH. Out valute is BiH Mark (short BAM or KM). For 1EUR you can buy 1,96KM.
There is no need to convert euros to marks :) Every shop you go to will accept euros:)
