I have no experience of trai travel from Bergen Norway to London UK so I would like detailed advice on how to plan my journey between these two cities by train. I am unfamiliar with the distances to be travelled and the train systems. I’m how I can get across the dividing sea.

Hi Jessie and welcome to rail.cc

Do you want to travel a return trip or only one way? For a return trip, a rail pass (Interrail) might be the cheaper option. Do you want to travel as fast as possible or with stops in-between? Cities to stop by could be Oslo, Göteborg, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Amsterdam or Paris. As you will need at least one overnight stop.

Have a look at this information here: https://rail.cc/en/train/bergen-to-london
There you find, where to buy your tickets if you travel step by step.
Bergen to Oslo.
Oslo to Göteborg. Change there and on to Copenhagen.
From Copenhagen to Hamburg by direct train.
Then Hamburg to Brussels with one change.
And finally by Eurostar train to London.

If you give me you exact travel date, we can have a look on ticket prices and more details.

In the past there was a ferry from Esbjerg (Denmark) to the UK which sadly doesn\'t exist anymore. The same for the night train from Copenhagen to Amsterdam - also withdrawn.

But all in all... if you have a bit of time, this journey isn\'t that expensive and really nice to travel.

Pete :)
