The Thalys high speed trains offer comfortable and fast journeys from Brussels to Cologne, Amsterdam and Paris. From September 12, 2017 the company introduces new fares and a new system with three travel classes. Find out about the fares and features of Standard, Comfort and Premium classes below.

Thalys Standard Class

  • today's "Comfort 2" class with four seats per row
  • Wifi included
  • Standard Mini fare: Brussels - Cologne from 19€; Brussels - Amsterdam and Brussels - Paris from 29€
    • no exchange, no refund
  • Standard fare: Brussels - Cologne from 31€; Brussels - Amsterdam from 44€; Brussels - Paris from 52€
    • exchange possible until departure of train for a fee of 15%; refund of 50% possible until departure of train
  • Snacks and drinks available in the bar coach

Thalys Comfort Class

  • today's "Comfort 1" class with three seats per row and 30% more space compared to Standard Class
  • Wifi included
  • Comfort fare: Brussels - Cologne from 33€; Brussels - Amsterdam from 45€; Brussels - Paris from 55€
    • exchange possible until departure of train for a fee of 15%; refund of 50% possible until departure of train
  • Snacks and drinks available in the bar coach

Thalys Premium Class

  • today's "Comfort 1" class with three seats per row and 30% more space compared to Standard Class
  • Premium fare: Brussels - Cologne from 70€; Brussels - Amsterdam from 97€; Brussels - Paris from 115€
    • free exchange and refund up until departure of train
  • Premium services included
    • Wifi with extended data volume (500 MB)
    • Menu included, hot and cold drinks available at any time
    • free newspapers and magazines
    • taxi reservations at your destination
    • access to Thalys Lounges

Other fares and Interrail reservations

Discounts are available for children, youths (under 26 years), seniors (from 60 years) and small groups.

If you are travelling with a railpass (Interrail or Eurail) you need a seat reservation. 2nd class passes are valid to travel in Standard class. According to our information, 1st class passes are only valid on board of Comfort class unfortunately. This means that you do not get the extra services of Premium class. Buy tickets for Thalys

You can buy your ticket for Thalys trains online from NS International (Dutch Railways), omio, SNCF or Thalys.

Reservations for passholders are available from B-Europe.
