I will be traveling shortly on this train from Chisinau to Kiev. Does anyone know how many coaches are on this train and if there is a restaurant car on part of the route.

Hi and welcome to railcc!
Train 341 should have the following carriages:
Coach 4 to 7: Kupe
Coach 41: Restaurant
Coach 8 to 14: Platzkartny
Coaches 1 to 3 and 15 to 19 are running "facultatively" (eg if there is enough demand)
It would be very interesting to hear from your experiences on that train! :)

We travelled this train de night from saturday sept 2nd, to sunday sept. 3rd.
The train consited actually of coaches 5 to 7 for sleepercompariments, then a restaurant car which was open between 8.00 an 23.00, and some eight or nine ordinary coached.
Customs came along around 7 am which quite reasonable.

thank you very much for the information.
The ordinary coaches probably have been "Platzkartny" - these are 54-bed sleeping cars with an "open compartment arrangement: there are no dedicated compartments and doors and it is more like a large dormitory. :)
Did you try out the restaurant car as well?

We tried the restaurant car as well, but merely for some coffee. The first coffee we bought with th left over Moldavian Lei. Just 20 Lei (about 1 Euro) per cup. Which is quite resonable for a cup Nespresso served in a real cup.
The others we paid with a 10 Euro note however all prices on the. menu were indicated in Lei of Roebel.
Our change was given in Ukranian Gryvna, who rate about 0,03 Euro each.
Our next train today will be the Kiev Warsaw nighttrain 67.
