Portsmouth and Southsea Railway Station

The Portsmouth and Southsea Railway Station is the central railway station for the city of Portsmouth at the end of the high street. Closest station to international ferry port (the harbour station isn't) there is a signed walking route but i would recommend a taxi which should come in at around £3 to £4. Connects to London in approx 1 hour express, 2 hour slow for around GBP 30 (price not dependent on train speed, more expensive early in the morning)

Portsmouth Harbour Railway Station

The railway station Portsmouth Harbour is located two minutes away from historic dockyard (from approx 1500-1600, oldest drydock in the world, oldest commissioned warship in the world, home of the royal navy, can see a variety of royal navy vessels as well as having regular visits from vessels of a huge variety of navy's) Two minutes from Gunwharf quay's a high end shopping and entertainment complex (cinema, shops, restaurants, pubs) Ten minutes from ferries to the Isle of Wight (recommend taxi as hard to find)
