Hello everyone,
I'm a Californian travelling to Europe for 2 weeks. I'm asked this on a different website earlier but am not confident they'll be able to answer my question. I'm hoping you all can! :)
I'm going to be in Paris on Wed June 22nd through Thurs June 23rd. On the morning of Fri June 24th, I'm hoping to travel to Strasbourg via train. With the current rail strikes going on, I'm wondering about the risk of not being able to make it there. Since international trips aren't jeopardized, I'm considering skipping Strasbourg and going straight to Switzerland.
I've read that SNCF is going on strike. Does this affect TGV Lyria by any means? I found a ticket from TGV Lyria to Strasbourg...
Yeah I'm pretty confused by all this. Any help would be appreciated. :)

What kind of ticket(s) do you have?
Currently there is no strike announced for your travel dates. In case there is a strike there will be a minimum service available and your ticket will be valid on all trains on your route however there is no guarantee for a seat.
You can check what trains are running on the website of SNCF here: [u]http://www.sncf.com/fr/horaires-info-trafic[/u] or at [u]http://infolignes.com/[/u] (the latter should redirect you to a version in english language).
You can also look for dates of strikes in the near future at [u]http://www.cestlagreve.fr/secteur-d-activite/transport/sncf-train/[/u]
