Hello,

my name is Fabian and I\'m from Romania.
Me and my friend plan a trip of about three weeks in Italy, in august. We wanna buy two tickets for 3 days pass within a moth period. For us it sounds to good to be true so that\'s why I ask here.

We made a train plan with all the trains that we will take, with the help of Train Times from the Interrail website. The cumulative hours of train traveling from station to station are about 24, so one day. That means it remains 2 days, so we are covered right? I am not sure because on the site it says that the most bought pass is the one with 4 days in a month, which is to much for us and I can\'t imagine a trip of a month for which you need 4 days of train travel in one country, only if you just don\'t get off the train :)).

Next question is, how do we obtain the tickets for our trains? We will get a planning sheet on which we are obligated to write our trip schedule and train number and just show it to the conductor when he comes to check the tickets? Or we go to the public train stations and ask for tickets, showing the Interrrail Pass?

The last one is about reservations. Our last train will be from Rome to Milan, for which we need reservation, so it says on Interrail Train Times website. How it is done? Train type is FR.

Thank you very much and I will wait for an answer.

Sincerely,
Fabian

Hi Fabian and welcome to railcc!

Please note: One travel day is equal to one calender day from 0000 to 2359, so that means: if you want to travel on, lets say, August 5, you can travel with as many trains as you like on that day (August 5) between 0000 and 2359.

It doesnt work with cumulative hours on different days, so if you want to travel on seven or eight different days, you would need a pass with eight travel days. This is explained in detail here: [ux]https://rail.cc/ro/cum-folosesti-interrail[/ux]

Information about how to get the reservation for FR (Frecciarossa): [ux]https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/frecciarossa/50[/ux]
