Hi F1zz3r,

You don't need any papers.. the only one you need is your own passport. Turkey is visa-free for EU-citizens.

Have a nice voyage!

Stefan

PS: Don't forget some copies of your passport: put them in some different places and, when you're traveling with more people, give a copy to them.

hi!
i´ve the same problem...
we (a friend and me) want to go on a interrail trip for 16 days in italy
and we are only 17...
is it a problem to get a hostel place or a camping place?
or a ticket for the ferries?
i´ve heard that you (stefan) did your first trip with 17
was it sometimes different for you..because your age?

goodbye martin....alias eddy 8)

Same problem here, the only difference being that I'm planning a little more crazy, over-scaled route for my first trip, being a 17-year-old travelling with only a friend at the same age. That is to say, from the cold north up here to Berlin - Paris - London - Amsterdam - Copenhagen and then home to Oslo and Tønsberg again. 8) What do you think? To ambitious? :P

I mean it seriously, it would be fun... just to show my parents that I can, experience some train travelling (I've taken the local train a coupe of km twice, that's it) and to experience a whole lotta Europe in one turn. :P

I also do wonder if it is any downsides at all being under 18.

I heard it's sometimes difficult to stay on a camp-site, because you will need a declaration from your parents in which they agree that you travel on your own. I hope this is clear, quite a difficult sentence I think, at least to write :|

I am 17 years old and I\'m planing to go on a trip throw the europe with 2 friends of mine, both of them will have 18 years old by the time, but I will have 17. What do I need to take with me, do I need a paper sign by my parents, or anything else? There is any country that I shouldn\'t or couldn\'t go with this age? Thank you.

Olá!

You will need (all of you) passport or ID card; when travelling underage it is recommended to take a letter signed by your parents with you in which they allow you to travel on your own. You can get detailed information about each country here: http://europa.eu/youreurope/citizens/travel/entry-exit/eu-citizen/index_en.htm#!lightbox-uid-1 (scroll down a little bit).

Thank you! :)
