Hi,

I'm looking to book an overnight train from Budapest to Ljubljana in June 2016, however the direct overnight train that has run for the past few years on Mondays/Thursdays only appears to have been suspended for 2016: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/budapest-koper-g1246-rg1605/278

I've checked the https://rail.shop/mav website & there's no mention of this train, can anyone confirm if it has actually been suspended for this year as otherwise I may need to book an indirect train or a bus?

Thanks,
Bob

Hi Bob,

as I am editing the night train data, I can confirm that the train is not running.
There is no night train directly towards Slovenia from Budapest; if you dont mind changing trains rather late, you could go
Budapest 1740 - 2252 Salzburg
Salzburg 0134 - 0559 Ljubljana
You could leave Budapest at 1840, change trains in Wien and arrive in Salzburg at 0028, however you would need a reservation for the Wien - Salzburg train too.
