Hi there,

Myself and five of my friends are travelling to Bruges for my stag do in February. We arrive at the airport (Brussels South Charleroi Airport) around 10:30am and want to get to Bruges as cheaply as possible.

I've had a look at one website which is offering bus transfers but everytime I check the price changes. If I can't find an alternative we'll probably book with them but just wanted to know if there was a train alternative or if anyone else has done this trip before who can offer any advice?

Thank you!

Ben

Hej Ben,

there is a special fare for journeys to/from Charleroi Airport to Any Belgium Station including the bus transfer between Charleroi Sud train station and airport offered by SNCB/NMBS. You can buy it online at belgianrail.be or also at ticket machines at the airport and at train stations; you have to select Charleroi South Airport as station name; a single trip would be 20,50€ then.

You might also think about getting a Rail Pass which costs 76€ and includes 10 single trips for any domestic journey in Belgium; you could use it for a round trip for up to five people; a single trip would then be 7,60€ only plus the bus transfer from the airport to the station which is 5€.

So I'd be able to use the rail pass for 5 persons and just get an extra return ticket?

Could you post the link to that Rail pass? I'm struggling to find it.

Thanks for advice!
