Hi,

There is a start date on global pass, do I have to stick with this date of my travel plan? Because my friends are going to other countries before the start date on my pass, if it is okay to start earlier?

Thanks everyone

Hi and welcome to rail.cc,

the starting date of your Interrail pass is fixed when you purchase your pass; the pass is only valid within the validity period printed on the pass.

For instance, if you chose April 13 as the starting date of your pass it is either valid from April 13 to April 27 (15 day passes), from April 13 to May 4 (22 day passes) or from April 13 to May 12 (one month passes).
You can freely travel within that period and do not have to make you first train trip on the first day of validity, however it is not possible to travel outside of that period of validity - eg start your trip before the first day of validity.

If you have purchased your pass already and if there is still enough time left before you leave you can exchange your pass for a fee at the shop/outlet where you bought the pass.

I hope you have bought/will buy your official Interrail pass through our partner link with interrail.eu: [ux]http://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] :)
