Hi,
Last winter I got the chance to travel around the Swiss and Austrian Alps with a 1st class Interrail pass. One of the highlight of the trip was the Eurocity "Transalpin" between Zurich and Graz.
I travelled the route from Zurich to Innsbruck (via Arlberg pass) and Graz to Innsbruck at day-time enjoying the scenic mountain views from the SBB 1st class eurocity panorama cars. I found it a nicer experience compared to standard 1st class intercity cars from a viewing experience.
My question: on which intercity/eurocity routes are those SBB 1st class panorama cars being used, apart from Eurocity "Transalpin" ?
It seems SBB is using some of them for their "Gotthard Panorama Express" route in spring/summer. That one seems to require supplements for Interrail pass holder though.

Yeah, the SBB panorama cars are quite nice, making the current "Transalpin" route from Graz to Zürich one of the nicest train rides in Europe. :)
Other routes served by these coaches currently are:
The Zürich - Hamburg EC 8/9 (via the Rhine valley); all Zürich - München EC (via Lindau - Memmingen/Kempten) and the already mentioned "Gotthard Panorama Express).
Additional services are on IC services between Basel, Zürich and Chur in the early morning/late evening with the compositions used during the day on the other services, so these IC trains do not really offer great views due to the time of day they are travelling at.
