I would like to travel from Nis to Sofia by bus or train. Does anyone knows what is the fastest and cheapest way to get from Nis to Sofia?

Hi and welcome to railcc!

There is a daily train:
Nis dep 1415 - 2010 arr Sofia
This train is scheduled to run until September 17, from then a connecting service like this will operate: [ux]http://p.bdz.bg/s/o/sofia-dragoman-dimitrovgrad-nis-0103-09122017-7531.pdf[/ux]
Ticket will be about 15€...however you have to calculate with delays of up to 120 minutes upon arrival in Sofia (the train arriving already late in Nis coming from Belgrade). Still the journey through the Nisava gorge is quite nice. :)
