I used your 'Price Generator' ( https://rail.cc/en/overall-costs ) thing on the website, for more than 2 people, and the expenses for the entire trip came out as 550 euros. I have two questions:

1) Does this include all the equipment we need to get (This will be our first time)?

2) Is it per person or the entire group?

hey hey... :)
the price generator is only to give you an idea of how much you trip will cost in average....
the best way is to calculate it on your own like this:

calculate for one day:
hostel: 10 EUR
food: 5 EUR
extras (beer, museums, discos, ...): 10 EUR
train supplements: 1 EUR

so you get for example: 20 EUR per day... multiply it with the days of your travel: 22 days X 22 EUR = 440 EUR
then you have to ad the price of your ticket
and if you need as well the cost of equipment (sleeping bag, backpack, cooker, ...). but remember: you will use the sleeping bag and so on as well in the future....

I hope I could help you a little bit...!! :)
a lot of fun,
Peter

Thanks. Also, does travelling by the Eurostar from London to Brussels/Paris and vice versa count as an InterRail day or not?

UPDATE: found the solution here: https://rail.cc/en/train/london-to-paris
