Hi there,

I am planning to start/end my journey in Copenhagen in September, but was hoping to make one giant loop from there to Amsterdam, maybe Brussels, and definitely Berlin. Any advice on which Eurail pass makes the most sense? Does this qualify as a 3-country pass because of the Netherlands/Belgium being considered Benelux?

I also heard that I should buy a pass prior to March 31 since they will migrate to 4-country passes and a 3-country pass would be cheaper. Is that the case?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Adrienne.
Please let us know which cities you want to visit exactly and how many days you have in total.
If you want to make a round trip Copenhagen - Amsterdam - Brussels - Berlin - Copenhagen, you might be cheaper with special price tickets (bookable 3 months in advance).
Copenhagen-Amsterdam by night train: https://rail.cc/en/night-train/copenhagen-amsterdam-cnl40473/13
Booking via the blue button.
Amsterdam - Brussels and reverse: [ux]https://rail.shop/nsinternational[/ux] and [ux]https://rail.shop/beurope[/ux]
Amsterdam - Berlin: https://rail.cc/en/train/amsterdam-to-berlin
And so on.
Peter :)

Hi.

If you want to travel this route, buy the 5 in 10 days Interrail Global Pass: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-global-pass

Find connections here https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route and here [ux]http://plan.rail.cc[/ux]
You can travel the whole route without extra reservation fees. Except if you travel in summer, there is a reservation fee required for Copenhagen-Hamburg (on your way to Amsterdam) which will be about EUR 4,50.

Read here to travel for free on Amsterdam to Brussels: https://rail.cc/blog/amsterdam-brussels-train/
In Belgium think about going to Bruges instead of Brussels.

Please help and support the free information on railcc. Click our partner link [ux]https://rail.shop/eurail[/ux] right before you order your official Eurail pass. Same service, same prices for you. But you support all the free information on railcc. Thank you! :) )

Pete :)

You can ONLY follow this advice IF you are European/live in EUR for more as 6 monthes. In that case ALSO state where you live-in that country you cannot use IR.
