Good evening,

We want to go from Budapest Keleti to Split next summer. We searched for tickets but didn\'t found alot of information. A few questions we still have:

- Does anybody know the price for a ticket Budapest-Split (nighttrain, 2 person bedroom)?
- Is it possible to buy the tickets in advance in The Netherlands or Belgium?

Hi and welcome to railcc!

You can find the schedule and the reservation prices (valid for Interrail/Eurail as well as for regular tickets) here: [ux]https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/budapest-split-g1204/132[/ux]
MAV START (Hungarian Railways) offers a special deal for return tickets -

The best option would be to try and get reservations from a NS or NMBS/SNCB station with international ticket desk and buy the tickets locally to get the discount; alternatively you can also get online tickets through MAV website [ux]http://rail.shop/mav[/ux] however booking will open only 90 days in advance at best.

A return ticket for two persons was 166€ in 2017 (not including sleeper/couchette reservations) and there will also be saver fares for one way travel which were about 59/69€ per person in a double sleeper.

rail.cc provides an information that the train g1204 Budapest Keleti-Split will operate in the year 2018 also.
But it is not possible to find this connection on the website of Hungarian provider MAV nor
in any Czech train connection planner on the web.

Can you somehow validate this information or say, when it will be possible to buy a ticket on the Hungarian website MAV?

Thank you.

Hi and welcome to railcc!

You can find the timetable PDF of Hungarian Railways MAV START here: [ux]https://www.mavcsoport.hu/sites/default/files/upload/page/adria_budapest_-_split_-_budapest.pdf[/ux]
Tickets will be available only a few weeks in advance via [ux]http://rail.shop/mav[/ux] - I would assume no sooner than 60 days in advance.
